Inflation Remains Unchanged; Initial Claims Higher Thursday, February 21, 5:16 PM ET
The Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that consumer prices was unchanged for the second consecutive month in January due to falling gasoline prices and stable food prices. For the twelve months through January, cosumer prices increased by 1.6 percent.
The Labor Department announced that initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased by 20,000 to a seasonally adjusted 362,000.
