Time Warner (NYSE:TWX) announced it earned $1.17 billion, or $1.21 per share, for the fourth quarter of 2012, up from $773 million, or 76 cents per share, in the same period last year. Adjusted earnings were $1.17 per share, beating analyst estimates of $1.10. Revenue was about even at $8.16 billion, while analysts expected $8.22 billion.
Shares are higher by about 3.5 percent.
CVS Caremark (NYSE:CVS) announced that it earned $1.13 billion, or 90 cents per share, for the fourth quarter of 2012, versus $1.06 billion, or 81 cents per share, during the same period of 2011. Adjusted earnings were $1.14 per share, and revenue increased by about 11 percent to $31.39 billion. Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.10 on $31.14 billion of revenue.
