Stifel Nicolaus initiated coverage on shares of Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA) with a hold rating as well, noting that company must still prove it can compete with lower-cost competitors. Shares of Tesla were higher by 2.7% despite Stifel's concerns.
And Oppenheimer initiated coverage on shares of Vertex Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:VRTX) with an outperform rating as cystic fibrosis treatments will be the major driver for growth at the company. In the report, Oppenheimer set a $105 price target. Shares of VRTX were higher by 2.7% on the news.
