This morning, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) announced it had sold 9 million new iPhones since Friday, the first day the newest models were available. The company said demand has exceeded supply, meaning many customers will have to wait a few extra weeks for their new phones to be shipped. Further more, the company said that its fourth quarter revenue will be towards the higher end of the $34 billion to $37 billion projection and that gross margins would also be at the higher end of the projected range. On the news, shares of Apple were higher by more than 4% on Monday.
