This morning, Covidien (NYSE:COV) declared its quarterly dividend of 32 cents per share, an increase of about 23% over its previous dividend. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 2% going forward. Shares of Covidien were modestly higher on the news, picking up 0.3% so far.
In other dividend news, PG&E Corporation (NYSE:PCG) maintained its quarterly dividend of 45.5 cents per share. And Boston Properties (NYSE:BXP) maintained its quarterly dividend of 65 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, McDonald's (NYSE:MCD) announced its quarterly dividend of 81 cents per share, an increase of about 5% over its prior dividend.
And among dividend reductions, Armour Residential REIT (NYSE:ARR) announced its monthly dividend of 5 cents per share, a decrease of about 29% from its prior dividend of 7 cents.
