This morning, Altria (NYSE:MO) reported third quarter earnings of $1.39 billion, or 70 cents per share, as revenue increased to $4.8 billion. Excluding one-time items, the company would have earned 65 cents per share, topping Wall Street estimates by a penny. The company said cigarette volumes increased by 1% in the quarter, but smokeless tobacco products saw volumes increase by 9%. On the news, shares of Altria were headed higher.
