The US markets were mixed in early trading as investors await another batch of earnings reports from S&P 500 companies this week. Also making headlines this morning is the start to Twitter's road show and the highly anticipated IPO for the microblogging company in the first week of November.
Good morning this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for October 28, 2013.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher by more than 2% while the Hang Seng was up about 0.5% overnight. In Europe on Monday, the FTSE 100 was trading flat today and the German DAX is off 0.1% so far.
In economic news, investors will review retail sales on Tuesday, the ADP payroll report on Wednesday, initial jobless claims on Thursday and auto sales on Friday.
In notable earnings news this week, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) reports after the bell today, LinkedIn (LNKD) reports on Tuesday, Allstate (NYSE:ALL) reports on Wednesday and NextEra Energy (NYSE:NEE) reports on Friday.
