After the bell on Tuesday, Mastercard (NYSE:MA) declared its quarterly dividend of $1.10, an increase of about 83% over its prior dividend. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 0.6% going forward. Shares of Mastercard were higher on Wednesday, picking up 4.5% so far.
In other dividend news, New York Mortgage Trust (NASDAQ:NYMT) maintained its quarterly dividend of 27 cents per share. Gulfmark Offshore (GLF) maintained its quarterly dividend of 25 cents per share. And General Cable (NASDAQ:BGC) maintained its quarterly dividend of 18 cents per share.
Among dividend increases, Fortune Brands Home & Security (FBHS) announced its quarterly dividend of 12 cents per share, an increase of 20% over its prior dividend.
