The iShares MSCI USA Quality Factor ETF (AMEX:QUAL) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 196,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 46,000. Shares of QUAL were up about 0.5% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), trading up about 0.9% with over 9.2 million shares changing hands so far this session, and General Motors (NYSE:GM), up about 1.7% on volume of over 6.7 million shares. Urban Outfitters (NASDAQ:URBN) is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 2.4% on the day, while Southwestern Energy (NYSE:SWN) is lagging other components of the iShares MSCI USA Quality Factor ETF, trading lower by about 1.2%.
