This morning, the Southern Company (NYSE:SO) declared its quarterly dividend of 50.75 cents per share, maintaining the amount paid to shareholders the prior quarter. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 4.9% going forward. Shares of the Southern Company were flat on Friday, trading around $41.25 per share.
In other dividend news, Paychex (NASDAQ:PAYX) maintained its quarterly dividend of 35 cents per share. KeyCorp New (NYSE:KEY) maintained its quarterly dividend of 5.5 cents per share. The Unum Group (NYSE:UNM) maintained its quarterly dividend of 14.5 cents per share. And Vanguard Natural Resources (VNR) maintained its monthly distribution of 20.75 cents per share.
