This morning, Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) reported fourth quarter earnings of $2.57 billion, or 39 cents per share, as revenue declined to $13.56 billion. Excluding one-time items, the company would have earned 56 cents per share, topping Wall Street estimates. While the company is facing pressure from generic drug manufacturers, Pfizer said it expects 2014 earnings excluding one-time charges in the range of $2.20 to $2.30 per share. In early trading, shares of Pfizer were higher by nearly 2% so far.
