The iShares Core S&P Total U.S. Stock Market ETF (AMEX:ITOT) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 532,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 103,000. Shares of ITOT were up about 0.7% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), trading up about 0.9% with over 61 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Facebook (NASDAQ:FB), down about 0.3% on volume of over 36 million shares. Dril-Quip (NYSE:DRQ) is the component faring the best Friday, up by about 11.8% on the day, while American Public Education (NASDAQ:APEI) is lagging other components of the iShares Core S&P Total U.S. Stock Market ETF, trading lower by about 21.8%.
