The SPDR S&P BRIC 40 ETF (AMEX:BIK) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 487,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 72,000. Shares of BIK were off about 0.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Vale (NYSE:VALE), trading up about 2.4% with over 24.0 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Petrobras (NYSE:PBR), down about 2% on volume of over 17.1 million shares. ICICI Bank (NYSE:IBN) is lagging other components of the SPDR S&P BRIC 40 ETF Wednesday, trading lower by about 3%.
