As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Thursday, Arotech Corp (NASDAQ:ARTX)'s , Elliot Sloyer, made a $178,380 purchase of ARTX, buying 50,000 shares at a cost of $3.57 each. Arotech Corp is trading up about 4.9% on the day Tuesday.
And at BlackRock Credit Allocation Income Trust (NYSE:BTZ), there was insider buying on Friday, by Director Jerrold B. Harris who bought 6,000 shares at a cost of $13.61 each, for a total investment of $81,680. This purchase marks the first one filed by Harris in the past year. BlackRock Credit Allocation Income Trust is trading off about 0.1% on the day Tuesday. So far Harris is in the green, up about 0.3% on their buy based on today's trading high of $13.65.
