In early trading on Tuesday, shares of Dollar General (NYSE:DG) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 3.4%. Year to date, Dollar General has lost about 6.9% of its value.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ:WYNN), trading down 3.5%. Wynn Resorts is showing a gain of 8.4% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Monster Beverage (MNST), trading down 2.9%, and Lam Research (LRCX), trading up 2.1% on the day.
