The US markets are mixed this afternoon, with the Dow up 0.10%, the S&P flat and the Nasdaq lower by 0.34% so far today. Some of the most actively traded stocks include Broadcom (NASDAQ:BRCM) up 10.4%, Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) up 0.76%, Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) down 0.93% and Ariad Pharmaceuticals up 5.6%.

In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was up 2.07%, and the Hang Seng was higher by 0.31%. In Europe on Tuesday, the FTSE 100 was higher by 0.29% and the German DAX was up 0.07% today.
In economic news, Factory Orders, Auto Sales and Truck Sales are released tomorrow, Trade Balance on Wednesday, Initial Claims on Thursday, and Nonfarm Payrolls and Unemployment Rate on Friday.
Companies releasing earnings this week include: ABM Industries and Dollar General on Tuesday, PVH Corp (NYSE:PVH) on Wednesday, Ciena Corp and JM Smucker (NYSE:SJM) on Thursday, and Piedmont Natural Gas Company (NYSE:PNY) on Friday.
