The US markets are mixed this afternoon, with the Dow down 0.06%, the S&P down 0.01% and the Nasdaq higher by 0.01%. Some of the most actively traded stocks include Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) up 1.23%, Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) down 2.2% and Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU) down 1.85%.
Good afternoon, this is Tracey Fitzpatrick with the Week Ahead Market Report for June 23, 2014.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was up 0.13%, and the Hang Seng was lower by 1.68%. In Europe on Tuesday, the FTSE 100 was lower by 0.36% and the German DAX was down 0.66% today.
In economic news, New Home Sales and Consumer Confidence comes out tomorrow, Durable Order on Wednesday, and Initial Claims and Personal Income on Thursday.
Companies releasing earnings this week include: Carnival (NYSE:CCL) and Walgreen (WAG) on Tuesday, Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) on Wednesday, ConAgra (NYSE:CAG) on Thursday and AZZ (NYSE:AZZ) on Friday.
