The First Trust NASDAQ-100-Technology Sector Index Fund ETF (NASDAQ:QTEC) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 364,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 34,000. Shares of QTEC were up about 3.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), trading up about 5.5% with over 45.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Facebook (FB), up about 2.6% on volume of over 38.3 million shares. Micron Tech (NASDAQ:MU) is the component faring the best Friday, higher by about 9.3% on the day, while Yahoo (YHOO) is lagging other components of the First Trust NASDAQ-100-Technology Sector Index Fund ETF, trading up by about 0.4%.
