The SPDR S&P International Energy Sector ETF (NASDAQ:IPW) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 125,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 30,000. Shares of IPW were up about 0.9% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Meg Energy (TSE:MEG.CA), trading up about 2.4% with over 2.3 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Cenovus Energy (TSE:CVE.CA), up about 0.2% on volume of over 2.2 million shares. Precision Drill (TSE:PD.CA) is lagging other components of the SPDR S&P International Energy Sector ETF Thursday, trading lower by about 4.3%.
