The worst performing sector as of midday Tuesday is the Energy sector, showing a 0.5% loss. Within that group, Baker Hughes, A GE Company (NYSE:BHGE) and Cimarex Energy Co (NYSE:XEC) are two large stocks that are lagging, showing a loss of 2.3% and 2.2%, respectively. Among energy ETFs, one ETF following the sector is the Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (AMEX:XLE), which is down 0.6% on the day, and down 5.83% year-to-date. Baker Hughes, A GE Company, meanwhile, is down 4.35% year-to-date, and Cimarex Energy Co, is down 23.47% year-to-date. Combined, BHGE and XEC make up approximately 1.9% of the underlying holdings of XLE.

The next worst performing sector is the Utilities sector, showing a 0.4% loss. Among large Utilities stocks, Edison International (NYSE:EIX) and American Water Works Co, Inc. (NYSE:AWK) are the most notable, showing a loss of 1.6% and 1.4%, respectively. One ETF closely tracking Utilities stocks is the Utilities Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLU), which is down 0.3% in midday trading, and down 6.13% on a year-to-date basis. Edison International, meanwhile, is down 6.29% year-to-date, and American Water Works Co, Inc., is down 10.98% year-to-date. Combined, EIX and AWK make up approximately 5.6% of the underlying holdings of XLU.
