In afternoon trading on Tuesday, Consumer Products stocks are the best performing sector, higher by 0.7%. Within the sector, VF Corp. (NYSE:VFC) and Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F) are two of the day's stand-outs, showing a gain of 4.2% and 3.6%, respectively. Among consumer products ETFs, one ETF following the sector is the iShares U.S. Consumer Goods ETF (NYSE:IYK), which is up 0.3% on the day, and up 6.70% year-to-date. VF Corp., meanwhile, is down 13.62% year-to-date, and Ford Motor Co. is up 77.93% year-to-date.
The next best performing sector is the Services sector, up 0.7%. Among large Services stocks, MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM) and Penn National Gaming Inc (NASDAQ:PENN) are the most notable, showing a gain of 9.3% and 3.4%, respectively. One ETF closely tracking Services stocks is the iShares U.S. Consumer Services ETF (IYC), which is up 0.7% in midday trading, and up 12.12% on a year-to-date basis. MGM Resorts International, meanwhile, is up 54.07% year-to-date, and Penn National Gaming Inc, is down 13.65% year-to-date. Combined, MGM and PENN make up approximately 0.5% of the underlying holdings of IYC.
