In afternoon trading on Tuesday, Energy stocks are the best performing sector, higher by 0.5%. Within that group, Expand Energy Corp (NASDAQ:EXE) and Coterra Energy Inc (NYSE:CTRA) are two large stocks leading the way, showing a gain of 2.3% and 1.5%, respectively. Among energy ETFs, one ETF following the sector is the Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (NYSE:XLE), which is up 0.7% on the day, and up 7.31% year-to-date. Expand Energy Corp, meanwhile, is up 14.02% year-to-date, and Coterra Energy Inc is up 4.87% year-to-date. Combined, EXE and CTRA make up approximately 3.2% of the underlying holdings of XLE.
The next best performing sector is the Utilities sector, higher by 0.4%. Among large Utilities stocks, Dominion Energy Inc (NYSE:D) and Constellation Energy Corp (NASDAQ:CEG) are the most notable, showing a gain of 1.5% and 1.4%, respectively. One ETF closely tracking Utilities stocks is the Utilities Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLU), which is up 0.5% in midday trading, and up 15.78% on a year-to-date basis. Dominion Energy Inc, meanwhile, is up 12.77% year-to-date, and Constellation Energy Corp is up 62.96% year-to-date. Combined, D and CEG make up approximately 12.4% of the underlying holdings of XLU.
