Yellen Speaks To Congress Tuesday, February 11, 11:08 AM ET
This morning Fed Chair Yellen spoke to congress, saying that economic recovery has been gaining traction in the second part of last year. Additionally she noted that the Fed has been keeping an eye on the volatility in global financial market, and at this point they do not believe the developments pose a substantial risk to the US outlook. In reference to the labor market, Yellen said that the recovery is far from complete, even with the current drop in unemployment. The Fed will continue reducing stimulus, as the economy improves.
