The First Trust NASDAQ Clean Edge Green Energy Index Fund ETF (NASDAQ:QCLN) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 289,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 118,000. Shares of QCLN were up about 1% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were FuelCell Energy (NASDAQ:FCEL), trading off about 0.4% with over 37.3 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Yingli Green Energy (YGE), up about 14.5% on volume of over 15.4 million shares. Maxwell Technologies (MXWL) is lagging other components of the First Trust NASDAQ Clean Edge Green Energy Index Fund ETF Thursday, trading lower by about 6%.
