The US markets are higher this Monday after completion of the vote in Crimea.
Good afternoon, this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for March 17, 2014.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was lower by 0.35% and the Hang Seng was lower by 0.30%. In Europe on Monday, the FTSE 100 was higher by 0.62% and the German DAX was up 1.37% today.
In economic news, Housing Starts, Building Permit and CPI are released on Tuesday, Initial Claims on Thursday, and Existing Home Sales on Friday. Janet Yellen will hold her first press conference for the Fed on Wednesday.
In earnings news this week, DSW (DSW) and Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) will be announcing Tuesday, KB Home (NYSE:KBH) on Wednesday, ConAgra Foods (NYSE:CAG) on Thursday, and Darden Restaurants (NYSE:DRI) on Friday.
