The PowerShares Dynamic Semiconductors Portfolio ETF (NYSE:PSI) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 197,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 31,000. Shares of PSI were off about 1% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), trading off about 0.5% with over 11.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Micron Tech (NASDAQ:MU), off about 0.1% on volume of over 8.6 million shares. MKS Instruments (NASDAQ:MKSI) is the component faring the best Thursday, higher by about 3.5% on the day, while Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ:CRUS) is lagging other components of the PowerShares Dynamic Semiconductors Portfolio ETF, trading lower by about 4.8%.
