In trading on Thursday, oil & gas exploration & production shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 2.3%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Clayton Williams Energy (CWEI), off about 15.7% and shares of Hercules Offshore (NASDAQ:HERO) down about 15.5% on the day.
Also lagging the market Thursday are rental, leasing, & royalty shares, down on the day by about 2.2% as a group, led down by BP Prudhoe Bay Royalty Trust (NYSE:BPT), trading lower by about 10.1% and Hugoton Royalty Trust (HGT), trading lower by about 4.1%.
