The Dow Jones Industrial Average, NASDAQ Composite, and S&P 500 are lower in afternoon trading on Monday. Some of the most actively traded stocks include Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) down 0.68%, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) up 0.60%, Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) down 2%, and National Bank of Greece (NBG) down 6.6%.
Good afternoon this is Sayoko Murase with the Week Ahead Market Report for February 9, 2015.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher, up 0.36%, and the Hang Seng was lower, down 0.64%. In Europe, the FTSE 100 was lower, down 0.24% and the German DAX was down by 0.54% today.
In economic news, Initial Claims, Retail Sales, and Business Inventories are released Thursday, and Import/Export Prices on Friday.
Some of the companies releasing earnings this week include: Dean Foods (NYSE:DF) and Molson Coors Brewing (NYSE:TAP) on Tuesday, Carlyle Group (NASDAQ:CG) and Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO) on Wednesday, American International Group (NYSE:AIG) on Thursday, and JM Smucker (NYSE:SJM) on Friday.
