The Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500 and NASDAQ are higher on Monday afternoon. Some of the most actively traded stocks include AT&T (NYSE:T) up 1.84%, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) up 1.25%, Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) higher by 1.04%, and Vale (NYSE:VALE) down 5.2%.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was up 0.80%, and the Hang Seng was down 0.83%. In Europe, the FTSE 100 was higher, up 0.12% and the German DAX was up 1.29% today.
In economic news, Housing Starts is released tomorrow, Initial Claims on Thursday, and CPI on Friday.
Some of the companies releasing earnings this week include: Home Depot (HD) on Tuesday, Hormel Foods (HRL) on Wednesday, Dollar Tree (DLTR) on Thursday, and Deere & Co. (DE) on Friday.
