The iShares U.S. Insurance ETF (NYSE:IAK) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 79,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 31,000. Shares of IAK were up about 0.8% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Genworth Financial (NYSE:GNW), trading up about 6.6% with over 6.0 million shares changing hands so far this session, and American International Group (NYSE:AIG), trading flat on volume of over 6.0 million shares. Kemper (NYSE:KMPR) is the component faring the best Friday, higher by about 10.6% on the day, while Navigators Group (NAVG) is lagging other components of the iShares U.S. Insurance ETF, trading lower by about 3.8%.
