The MLP and Energy Infrastructure ETF (NYSE:MLPX) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 1.1 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 145,000. Shares of MLPX were down about 3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Kinder Morgan (NYSE:KMI), trading off about 4.1% with over 50.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Energy Transfer Partners (NYSE:ETP), down about 4.5% on volume of over 7.6 million shares. Enlink Midstream (NYSE:ENLC) is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 2% on the day, while Enable Midstream Partners LP (NYSE:ENBL) is lagging other components of the MLP and Energy Infrastructure ETF, trading lower by about 8.8%.
