Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC) announced a quarterly common stock dividend of $0.38 per share, an increase of a half-penny or 1 percent, per share from the prior quarter. The dividend is payable June 1, 2016, to stockholders of record on May 6, 2016, as approved today by the Wells Fargo board of directors.

MetLife (NYSE:MET) has declared a second quarter 2016 common stock dividend of $0.40 per share, an increase of approximately 7 percent from the first quarter 2016 common stock dividend of $0.375 per share. This is the second year in a row that the company has increased its dividend by approximately 7 percent and represents a 116 percent increase since the first quarter of 2013, the last quarter before the company resumed dividend increases. The dividend will be payable on June 13, 2016, to shareholders of record as of May 9, 2016.

BB&T Corporation (BBT) declared a quarterly common stock dividend increase of $.01 to $.28 per share payable June 1, 2016, to shareholders of record at the close of business May 13, 2016.

W.W. Grainger (NYSE:GWW) announced that its board of directors voted to raise the quarterly cash dividend by 4.3 percent to $1.22 per share payable on June 1, 2016, to shareholders of record on May 9, 2016.

Stryker Corporation (NYSE:SYK) has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.38 per share payable on July 29, 2016, to shareholders of record at the close of business on June 30, 2016, representing an increase of 10% versus the prior year, and unchanged from the previous quarter.

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:MPC) declared a dividend of $0.32 per share on common stock. The dividend is payable June 10, 2016, to shareholders of record as of the close of business May 18, 2016.
