Southern Company said it is increasing its dividend by 7 cents per share on an annualized basis to a rate of $2.24 per share. Southern Company also announced a regular quarterly dividend – including an increase of 1.75 cents per share over the prior quarter – of 56 cents per share, payable June 6, 2016, to shareholders of record as of May 16, 2016.
Rogers Communications declared a quarterly dividend totaling 48 cents per share on each of its outstanding Class B Non-Voting shares and Class A Voting shares. The quarterly dividend declared will be paid on July 4, 2016 to shareholders of record on June 12, 2016.
Norfolk Southern Corporation (NYSE:NSC) announced the regular quarterly dividend of 59 cents per share on its common stock, payable on June 10 to stockholders of record on May 6.
Public Service Enterprise Group (NYSE:PEG) declared a $0.41 per share dividend on the outstanding common stock of the company for the second quarter of 2016. All dividends for the second quarter are payable on or before June 30, 2016, to shareholders of record on June 9, 2016.
TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation (NYSE:AMTD) has declared a $0.17 per share quarterly cash dividend, payable on May 17, 2016 to all holders of record of common stock as of May 3, 2016.
Whirlpool Corporation approved an 11 percent increase in the quarterly dividend on the company's common stock to one dollar per share from 90 cents per share. The dividend is payable June 15, 2016, to stockholders of record at the close of business on May 20, 2016.
