The SPDR S&P Insurance ETF (NYSE:KIE) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 505,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 150,000. Shares of KIE were off about 0.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Genworth Financial (NYSE:GNW), trading down about 0.5% with over 2.2 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Metlife (NYSE:MET), down about 0.8% on volume of over 1.9 million shares. Assured Guaranty (NYSE:AGO) is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 0.5% on the day, while Amtrust Financial Services (AFSI) is lagging other components of the SPDR S&P Insurance ETF, trading lower by about 1.9%.
