As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.

On Monday, Hertz Global Holdings' CFO, Thomas C. Kennedy, made a $280,530 purchase of HTZ, buying 10,000 shares at a cost of $28.05 each. Bargain hunters can snag HTZ at a price even lower than Kennedy did, with shares trading as low as $24.75 at last check today which is 11.8% below Kennedy's purchase price. Hertz Global Holdings is trading up about 0.6% on the day Friday. Before this latest buy, Kennedy made one other buy in the past twelve months, purchasing $310,400 shares for a cost of $7.76 a piece.

And also on Monday, Director Thomas A. Reiser purchased $251,761 worth of Allegiance Bancshares, purchasing 8,000 shares at a cost of $31.47 each. Before this latest buy, Reiser purchased ABTX on 6 other occasions during the past twelve months, for a total cost of $1.08M at an average of $19.31 per share. Allegiance Bancshares is trading off about 0.5% on the day Friday. Investors can snag ABTX at a price even lower than Reiser did, with shares trading as low as $30.25 in trading on Friday which is 3.9% under Reiser's purchase price.
