Pfizer declared a 32-cent first-quarter 2017 dividend on the company's common stock, payable March 1, 2017, to shareholders of record at the close of business on February 3, 2017. Pfizer increased the dividend by approximately 7 percent, to 32 cents from 30 cents per share.
Morningstar (NASDAQ:MORN) declared a quarterly dividend of 23 cents per share. The dividend is payable Jan. 31, 2017, to shareholders of record as of Jan. 6, 2017. The declaration reflects a 4.5 percent increase in the quarterly dividend to 23 cents per share from 22 cents.
St. Jude Medical (STJ) declared a fourth quarter dividend of $0.31 per common share of the Company's stock. This dividend amount is equal to the dividend paid during the first, second and third quarters of 2016 and brings the total dividend declared for the year to $1.24 per share. The dividend is payable January 31, 2017, to shareholders of record at the close of business on January 13, 2017, provided that the Company's pending merger with Abbott Laboratories is not effective before the close of business on the record date.
American Water Works Company (NYSE:AWK) declared a quarterly cash dividend payment of 37.5 cents per share of common stock, payable on Mar. 1, 2017, to all stockholders of record as of Feb. 7, 2017.
Xenia Hotels & Resorts (NYSE:XHR) has authorized a cash dividend of $0.275 per share of the Company's common stock for the fourth quarter 2016. The dividend will be paid on January 13, 2017 to all holders of record of the Company's common stock as of the close of business on December 30, 2016.
