The Pharmaceutical ETF (NASDAQ:PPH) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 2.0 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 243,000. Shares of PPH were up about 1.1% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Pfizer (NYSE:PFE), trading up about 1.4% with over 13.6 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Valeant Pharmaceuticals (VRX), up about 1.7% on volume of over 7.6 million shares. Endo International (ENDP) is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 4.6% on the day, while GW Pharmaceuticals (GWPH) is lagging other components of the Pharmaceutical ETF, trading lower by about 1.4%.
