The Vanguard Small-Cap Growth ETF (NYSE:VBK) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 528,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 211,000. Shares of VBK were off about 0.2% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD), trading up about 2.7% with over 36.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Finisar (FNSR), down about 21.4% on volume of over 20.7 million shares. Hibbett Sporting Goods (NASDAQ:HIBB) is the component faring the best Friday, higher by about 9.4% on the day.
