The First Trust Nasdaq Bank ETF (NASDAQ:FTXO) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 4.6 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 49,000. Shares of FTXO were down about 0.4% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), trading down about 0.7% with over 124.6 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC), off about 1.1% on volume of over 18.2 million shares. Keycorp (NYSE:KEY) is the component faring the best Wednesday, up by about 1% on the day, while Signature Bank (NASDAQ:SBNY) is lagging other components of the First Trust Nasdaq Bank ETF, trading lower by about 1.7%.
