In trading on Wednesday, precious metals shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 3.6%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Platinum Group Metals, down about 12.8% and shares of Entree Gold down about 10% on the day.
Also lagging the market Wednesday are metals & mining shares, down on the day by about 1.1% as a group, led down by Sibanye Gold, trading lower by about 6.9% and Westmoreland Coal, trading lower by about 5.6%.
