The Vanguard Russell 1000 Growth ETF (NASDAQ:VONG) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 133,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 41,000. Shares of VONG were up about 0.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Tuesday were Micron Tech (NASDAQ:MU), trading up about 1% with over 24.8 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), up about 1.8% on volume of over 21.6 million shares. Red Hat (RHT) is the component faring the best Tuesday, up by about 4.6% on the day, while CBS (CBS) is lagging other components of the Vanguard Russell 1000 Growth ETF, trading lower by about 2.6%.
