The First Trust Technology AlphaDEX Fund ETF (NYSE:FXL) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 1.7 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 131,000. Shares of FXL were off about 1.1% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD), trading down about 5% with over 75.4 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Micron Tech (NASDAQ:MU), down about 1.3% on volume of over 30.8 million shares. Juniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR) is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 2.3% on the day, while Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ:PANW) is lagging other components of the First Trust Technology AlphaDEX Fund ETF, trading lower by about 6.4%.
