In trading on Tuesday, the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (NYSE:XOP) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Renewable Energy Group (REGI), up about 4.2% and shares of Marathon Oil (NYSE:MRO), up about 3.7% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the iShares Mortgage Real Estate Capped ETF (AMEX:REM), off about 3% in Tuesday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Tuesday were shares of iStar (STAR), lower by about 1.4%, and shares of New York Mortgage Trust (NASDAQ:NYMT), lower by about 0.5% on the day.
