The Unconventional Oil & Gas ETF (NYSE:FRAK) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Tuesday, with over 1.1 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 46,000. Shares of FRAK were off about 3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Tuesday were Chesapeake Energy (NYSE:CHK), trading down about 5.3% with over 35.9 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Southwestern Energy (NYSE:SWN), down about 5.9% on volume of over 26.0 million shares. Prairiesky Royalty (TSE:PSK.CA) is the component faring the best Tuesday, lower by about 0.4% on the day, while Parsley Energy (NYSE:PE) is lagging other components of the Unconventional Oil & Gas ETF, trading lower by about 14.3%.
