As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Thursday, Stericycle (NASDAQ:SRCL)'s Director, Jack W. Schuler, made a $625,910 buy of SRCL, purchasing 10,000 shares at a cost of $62.59 each. Stericycle is trading down about 0.7% on the day Tuesday.
And on Friday, CEO Michael D. Barnello purchased $478,180 worth of LaSalle Hotel Properties (NYSE:LHO), purchasing 19,398 shares at a cost of $24.65 each. LaSalle Hotel Properties is trading down about 1.2% on the day Tuesday. So far Barnello is in the green, up about 4.1% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $25.66.
