In trading on Wednesday, railroads shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 1.3%. Leading the group were shares of Norfolk Southern, up about 5.2% and shares of Canadian Pacific Railway up about 1.9% on the day.
Also showing relative strength are cigarettes & tobacco shares, up on the day by about 1.2% as a group, led by Alliance One International, trading up by about 3% and British American Tobacco Industries, trading higher by about 2.7% on Wednesday.
