The iShares S&P Small-Cap 600 Value ETF (NYSE:IJS) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 674,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 228,000. Shares of IJS were up about 0.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were J.C. Penney (JCP), trading off about 3.6% with over 10.0 million shares changing hands so far this session, and AK Steel Holding (AKS), up about 3% on volume of over 8.0 million shares. Community Health Systems (NYSE:CYH) is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 13.3% on the day, while Netgear (NASDAQ:NTGR) is lagging other components of the iShares S&P Small-Cap 600 Value ETF, trading lower by about 8.8%.
