The Communication Services Select Sector SPDR Fund ETF (NYSE:XLC) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 4.6 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 519,000. Shares of XLC were off about 0.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were AT&T (NYSE:T), trading up about 1.7% with over 32.7 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Facebook (FB), down about 0.8% on volume of over 17.4 million shares. Twitter (TWTR) is lagging other components of the Communication Services Select Sector SPDR Fund ETF Friday, trading lower by about 2.5%.
