The Communication Services Select Sector SPDR Fund ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 2.0 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 451,000. Shares of XLC were up about 0.9% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were AT&T, trading up about 0.3% with over 10.2 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Facebook, up about 1.4% on volume of over 9.2 million shares. Viacom is the component faring the best Thursday, up by about 3% on the day, while Tripadvisor is lagging other components of the Communication Services Select Sector SPDR Fund ETF, trading lower by about 2%.
