The iShares Russell Mid-Cap ETF (NYSE:IWR) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 412,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 82,000. Shares of IWR were up about 1.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD), trading off about 0.5% with over 55.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and First Data (FDC), down about 13.9% on volume of over 30.3 million shares. Red Hat (RHT) is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 42.4% on the day.
